We are a small firm. We do not sell personal data, we do not use advertising or analytics cookies, we do not build profiles for anyone else, and no decision about you is made by automated means.

What we collect and why

We only collect what you give us through a form, plus the technical data any website needs to work.

WhatThe dataWhyLawful basisKept for
Enquiries (Two-Week Read, working session, messages)Name, work email, company, role, your messageTo reply and to keep a record of the conversationLegitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry); steps before a contract you ask for24 months from your last contact
Paper and case-study requestsWork email, which document you asked forTo give you the document and know what you asked forLegitimate interests (providing what you requested)24 months from your last contact
Your numbers (six indicators)Name, work email, company, the figures you enterTo run the modelled bridge you asked forSteps before a contract you ask for24 months from your last contact
Reading record (only if you choose “Accept” in the privacy bar)Your email, the papers you open and whenTo understand which material is useful to you and follow up on your interestConsent — withdraw any time from “Privacy settings” in the footer24 months, or until you withdraw consent
NewsletterEmail address; the page you signed up from; your IP address at sign-up (spam check)To send the operating notes you asked forConsent — the box is never pre-ticked; every email has an unsubscribe linkUntil you unsubscribe
Technical dataIP address, browser type, the page requestedTo deliver the site and protect it from abuseLegitimate interests (security and operation of the site)Short-lived logs held by our hosting provider

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed them against yours: the data is limited to what a business enquiry needs, it is used only to answer it, and you can object at any time.

Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties — the fonts are served from our own domain. It uses your browser’s local storage for the items below. Only the first two are set without asking, because they are needed for something you did or asked for.

ItemPurposeTypeLasts
rie-consentRemembers your choice in the privacy barStrictly necessaryUntil you clear it
rie-papers-unlockedRemembers that you have already requested a paper, so it opens without asking againStrictly necessary (a service you requested)Until you clear it
rie-reader-emailYour email, so the papers you open are recorded against itOnly with your consent (“Accept”)Until you withdraw consent or clear it
rie-viewed-…Stops the same reading being recorded twice in one visitOnly with your consentEnds when you close the tab

You can change your choice at any time with Privacy settings, also in the footer of every page. Choosing “Essential only” removes your stored email from this browser and stops the reading record.

Separately, we count how often a few pages are opened and a few links are followed, so we can see which research leads where. Only a daily total per page or link is kept; no cookie, identifier, IP address or email is sent with it, so it cannot tell one visitor from another.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of service providers who process data only on our instructions, under data-processing terms that meet the GDPR. Where data leaves the UK or European Economic Area, it is protected by the safeguards shown.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR you can ask us to:

  • See the personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete it.
  • Restrict or object to how we use it, including anything based on legitimate interests.
  • Move it: we will send it in a common, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, for the newsletter (the unsubscribe link in every email) or the reading record (Privacy settings). This does not affect anything done before.

Write to hello@reinessence.tech. We may ask you to confirm your identity. There is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to a supervisory authority — our lead authority is Bulgaria’s Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg); in the UK it is the ICO (ico.org.uk); or the authority where you live or work. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Security and retention

Form submissions are stored in an access-controlled store on our hosting provider, reachable only by us. Connections to the site are encrypted. Enquiry and reading records are deleted automatically 24 months after they are made; newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. When you ask us to delete your data, we remove it from our records and from the newsletter list.

Changes and contact

If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. For any question about this notice, write to hello@reinessence.tech.
